baby number two / berry family

I cannot believe we are already wrapping up beach sessions for 2020. Feeling pretty blessed that one of my last trips out to the lakeshore was to shoot with the Berry family! Melissa and Zach wanted to capture some photos of their sweet family of three before their second little one arrives in January. During fall in Michigan there is a short window of time where the water is slightly warmer than the air and we timed this session just right; we spent the majority of the time shooting with our toes in the warm lake water.

This sweet shot of Greyson loving on his new little brother or sister was one of my favorites. Throughout the session we focused on capturing lots of candid shots of the family playing together on the beach, and I loved that the majority of the photos are filled with laughter.

Melissa didn’t have maternity pictures taken when she was pregnant with Greyson so we also took a good amount of images of just her and baby two. She looked amazing in this simple, floral maternity dress!

Pregnancy is one of those seasons that can feels like years rather than months but also passes in the blink of an eye, which is why I love documenting it! Melissa and Zach, I hope when you look back on these images, they always bring back all the excitement of waiting to meet your sweet baby! Congrats on baby Berry number two!
