late summer senior session / lily

I had a blast getting creative with our locations during Lily’s senior photo shoot! We had ideal light and because we shot these a little later in the summer season there were lots of beautiful flowers in bloom.

For the second half of the session we swung over to the Grand Rapids Ballet to shoot at one of my favorite murals in the city! I think that this floral wall is such a feminine background that adds a fun pop of color to senior pictures.

At the end of the night, as we walked back to our cars, we passed a patch of black eyed susans. Lily mentioned that she had a picture from childhood of her surrounded by them, so we decided to take a couple more pictures to recreate the old photo. I loved this idea and think it is so fun that they will be able to put the images side by side!
